Countryside, the developer behind NGV Liverpool, has returned to Monksdown Primary School in Norris Green to give pupils a refresher course in health and safety.

Following the success of its previous visit in 2014, Countryside has returned to the neighbouring school to ensure the on-going safety of local children by engaging pupils in valuable health and safety assemblies.

During the visit, Countryside used interactive demonstrations to highlight the hidden dangers on active building sites.

Stephanie Gough, Head Teacher at Monksdown Primary School, commented: “Knowing how valuable the previous visit was and seeing how well the children responded to the assembly, we were more than happy to welcome Countryside back. It’s exciting to see the progression of the development and it’s a great comfort to both parents and teachers that Countryside continues to take responsibility for the safety of our local community”.

The visit follows the launch of The Avenue, a collection of 130 stunning new homes that forms part of the NGV Liverpool development, all of which are available through the Government’s popular Help to Buy scheme.

Peter Vella, Regional Sales and Marketing Director at Countryside, commented: “Health and safety remains an integral part of our operation and we are continually striving to ensure that health and safety remains a priority before, during and after the completion of a project.

“The success of The Avenue has seen NGV Liverpool go from strength to strength, spreading its wings further a field and highlighting to us the importance of creating a safe environment for the community to thrive in.”

Situated off Broad Lane, NGV Liverpool is the result of Countryside’s wider vision to create 1,150 homes at the heart of Liverpool City Council’s £200m redevelopment of Norris Green.

With prices starting at just £130,000*, Countryside homes are available to purchase through the popular Help to Buy scheme, through which buyers own 100% of their property, whilst receiving an equity loan of 20% and contributing a small deposit of only 5%.
